In industrial and power plants, outdated or malfunctioning machines are often replaced with new machines, which may generate very different loads on the supporting structure. In many cases, the existing foundations must be converted or entirely rebuilt.
GERB has specialized in foundation redevelopment from consultation and planning to the implementation of construction and offers the adaptation and redesign of existing machine foundations as a complete package:
- Assessment of soil and existing foundation
- Suggestions for the redesign or strengthening of the foundations
- Engineering planning for the conversion or the adaptation, coordination with the machine manufacturers
- Where required, delivery and installation of elastic support system
- Coordination of construction services
Buildings of various types and sizes are also being restored by GERB to protect against
- subsidence, for example in mining areas,
- vibrations from rail and car traffic or else and
- earthquake effects.
